About your team

Client Service Operations (CSO) is a global team that plays a critical role across FIL Platforms in delivering the successful onboarding of retail funds. This team ensures that all Client Servicing Operational activities are met for our clients' across our Global FIL investment fund ranges. Our responsibility spans the onboarding lifecycle of retail funds, the full custodian set up, data and system set up and the processing of investor cashflows for our segregated mandates. Our goal framework has three core priorities: client retention, business growth and scale and efficiency. About your role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced manager with a background in Asset Management to oversee and support our Custodian Bank operational set up and market due diligence framework.

The Manager will work closely with key stakeholders across internal teams within operations, trading, investment risk and compliance. The successful candidate will also be required to support the implementation of FIL retail fund product changes including launches and closures where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee & support custodian set up supporting our retail FIL fund ranges in Europe.
  • Own and manage an agreed schedule of market due diligence reviews and extract market data from global custodians to perform market due diligence reviews based on stakeholder requirements.
  • Attend custodian global network meetings and prepare agenda and present monthly Market Due Diligence meeting.
  • Be a central point of contact for global market queries, working closely with relative custodian banks and internal stakeholders, building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • Support FIL fund range product changes including fund launches, closures and repurposes as required.

About you

  • Experience in asset management or custody role.
  • Industry Knowledge - Strong knowledge of global markets & market mechanisms across settlement, investment restrictions, disclosures, reporting, tax, corporate action/proxy and FX.
  • Strong understanding of the role of custodian banks relative to fund servicing.
  • Experience with dealing with external custodian banks or equivalent experience working in a custody role.
  • Understanding of investment instruments, settlement methods, market locations and nuances.
  • Understanding of market risk.
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
