We are looking for a Manager Client Services to join the team in Japan.
How You Will Add Value?
Support institutional investors, including financial institutions and pension funds, as well as distributors and domestic asset management companies, through thoughtful responses to client and mandate-related inquiries and regular value-added support.
Build long-term client relationships and partner with sales, investments, product, operations, and overseas offices to lead responses to client needs and deliver consistent service experience.
Act proactively in a dynamic market environment and help identify additional investment and cross-sell opportunities that support business growth in Japan.
What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong compliance awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to assess client needs, set priorities, and lead timely responses. You will also work effectively across stakeholders, adapt quickly to changing market conditions, and approach a broad range of matters with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in the financial industry, preferably with an asset manager, securities firm, or bank
At least 3 years of that experience in sales, including client service, within the financial industry
Experience with investment product launch, modification, or redemption projects, or business process improvement initiatives, is preferred
Expertise / Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of investment strategies and financial markets, particularly global equities, global fixed income, and foreign exchange
Basic knowledge of regulations and business practices in the asset management industry
Basic knowledge of investment vehicles and fund structures
Competencies:
Strong understanding of the value of asset management and alignment with Franklin Templetons mission and direction
Self-starter with a proactive, goal-oriented mindset
Strategic thinking, adaptability, and strong prioritization and problem-solving skills
Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, with high integrity
Resilience, drive, and a positive approach to challenges
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative mindset
PC and Language Skills:
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, with the ability to prepare internal and client-facing materials, analyze data, and produce reports; basic familiarity with generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot is preferred
English proficiency sufficient to draft emails and participate effectively in conference calls and online meetings
Qualifications:
CFA, CMA, or CAIA qualifications are a plus
