What role will you play in our team

The position advises the S&OP organization on all matters related to component supply, prepares forecasts, manages supplier relationships, and collaborates with Lubes Value Chain S&OP teams in support of SC objectives.

 

1. Coordinate, Communicate, Align

  Acts as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment on raw material strategy

  Leads discussions and alignment on component changes, reformulations, and supplier transitions

  Collaborates with global and regional teams on business continuity activities for critical components

  Represents midstream supply chain considerations in crossfunctional forums, ensuring raw materials remain embedded in business and operational plans

 

2. Execution of the Role

  Delivers accurate demand forecasts and oversees implementation of component changes

  Manages supply disruptions and executes recovery plans to protect finished lubricant supply

  Maintains robust supplier relationships to ensure longterm stability of supply

  Oversees compliance with frameworks such as Brand & Product Integrity Management System and ensures disciplined planning, benefit capture, and consumption management

Prepare regular demand forecasts for external and internal baseoil and additive suppliers incorporating Supply Chain Planning Systems plans and known initiatives

Maintain regular communications with suppliers to manage strategic and tactical issues related to component supply

  Support initiatives impacting components, interfacing with Product Management, Initiatives Coordinators, Technology, Operations, Procurement, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategy

  Participate in Demand Consensus meetings with Lubes Value Chain partners

  Collaborate with Component Planners and suppliers to optimize inbound logistics

  Serve as primary escalation point for Component Planners on component and supplier issues

  Collaborate with the Global Supply Security Advisor on business continuity plans for critical components and finished lubricants

About You

Skills and Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Research (or related fields such as Applied Mathematics/Statistics)

  5+ years relevant work experience in supply chain network or supplier management

  Experience supporting supply chain activities for large scale operations preferred (particularly in Oil & Gas and FMCG)

  Understand Supply Chain Fundamentals and Supply & Demand Principles

  Proficiency with MS Excel and extraction of information from ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle)

  Strong command of written and spoken English

  Function effectively in a team environment, including virtual environments

  Strong judgment, including ability to make quality decisions

  Strong persuasion / communication skills / influence without direct authority

  Ability to respond to changing circumstances at broad range of work hours (support re-optimization of supply chain on an on-going basis)

  Ability to work independently and without direct supervision

  Prociency with advanced analytics tools (Tableau or PowerBI for visualization)

  Experience in supply planning roles in Chemical, FMCG, CPG, Manufacturing, E -Commerce preferred

  Experience in, and understanding of, manufacturing principles and concepts in Oil & Gas Industry highly preferred (Refining/Petrochemical experience)

  Experience in Finished lubricants production/manufacturing process preferred (particularly in Oil & Gas and lubricants)

  Experience in large-scale network deployment/replenishment planning

  Experience with supply and/or production planning processes fo reither inbound materials or finished products

  Experience in marine bulk  vessels supply chain and coordination

  Experience in petrochemical supply chain, logistics, and optimization

  Experienced in conducting analyses and providing data driven recommendations for S&OP processes

  Ability to work independently and without direct supervision

  Customer oriented mindset and focus

  Effectively interface with internal functions

  Experienced in conducting analyses and providing recommendations for supply planning problems using

  • SAP IBP/APO, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis
  • Tableau and/or Power Bl for visualization, Power Query and Excel

  Knowledge of R and/or Python for scripting is a positive but not required

  Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including conceptual capabilities

  Strong and effective interpersonal skills
