Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Supply Planning Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our Performance Unit (PU) planning community in maximizing the efficiency of our digital planning systems, notably Kinaxis Maestro. The role is pivotal in ensuring consistent planning practices with global operating templates, supporting end users, troubleshooting system issues, and driving adoption of new processes and enhancements.  The role forms part of a global community of functional experts who reports into Global Supply Planning Process Owners in the Global Planning COE and the IT technical architect and support teams to triage and prioritise ongoing process or technical defects, as well as prioritise and author agreed enhancements within the system.

This position requires proven Kinaxis Maestro experience as a contributor or author, combining strong analytical skills with our Enterprise Resource Planning tool (ERP) (e.g. SAP, JDE) and the ability to foster collaborative working relationships with supply chain planning and IT colleagues in Pune and other markets.

What you will deliver (responsibilities)

System Expertise & User Support

Be the primary go-to expert for Kinaxis Maestro for the BTC and FBT community, providing hands-on supply planning process and Kinaxis Maestro  support to end users in Supply Planning, Raw Material Planning and Inventory areas as following Castrols defined Global Processes.

Address end user queries related to system functionality, troubleshooting, and best practices.

Act as the first line of support for supply planning system defects, triage in and escalate through a defined process based on criticality and business impact as needed.

Training & Adoption

Conduct new joiner Supply Planning training sessions, mentoring users to improve their understanding of how to use Kinaxis Maestro.

Actively participate in Planning System Subject Matter Experts, led through the Planning Centre of Excellence (COE), to share trends, raising concerns and improvement areas across geographies

Support Supply Planning Process Owner to develop and maintain  training materials,  Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and best practice documentation aligned to the global planning operating model.

Drive adoption of new system capabilities, ensuring effective change management.

Process Optimization & Governance

Identify gaps or inefficiencies in how PU users apply planning process functionality within Kinaxis.

Collaborate with global and Community of Practice teams to drive continuous improvement in planning practices as executed within Kinaxis

As part of the global SME community, provide feedback to IT and Global Process Owners on system enhancements and user experience improvements.

What you will need to be successful (experience, job requirements & qualifications)

Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (Masters preferred).

Experience: 8+ years of experience in Planning, with a strong understanding of supply planning and hands-on experience within Kinaxis Maestro

Proven experience in supply planning with demonstrable experience leading teams with a digital E2E tool

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in supply chain software (Kinaxis Maestro preferred) and ERP systems

Excellent process and digital problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Effective communicator with strong training and mentor skills for those in planning in Pune and in the markets

Experience in change management and user adoption techniques

Ability to work cross-functionally with local, market and global planning teams, and technical IT teams
