The opportunity

 

Our team is looking for a senior finance leader to drive transaction-related finance work within the Strategy & Execution team. This role will lead complex finance workstreams across integrations and carve-outs, with deep expertise in transaction accounting, opening balance sheet preparation, and technical accounting. 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

As part of this practice, you will spend your time leading transaction finance workstreams across M&A deals, including carve-outs and integrations. You will also, 

  • Own the preparation and review of opening balance sheets and transaction-related financial positions
  • Lead the development of technical accounting papers (IFRS/GAAP) linked to transaction structures and deal terms
  • Translate SPA and deal mechanics into accounting and financial reporting outcomes
  • Oversee Day 1 readiness and Day 100 finance execution, including finance operating model, chart of accounts, and reporting frameworks
  • Act as the primary finance lead interfacing with clients, deal teams, and other advisors
  • Identify and resolve complex accounting and financial issues arising during transactions
  • Provide leadership and direction to junior team members and manage delivery across multiple engagements
  • Support business development through proposal development and client pitches in transaction finance

 

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • A bachelors degree with 10 to 15 years of experience in transaction finance, deal advisory, or financial accounting
  • Strong experience in M&A, carve-outs, and integrations, ideally within Big 4 or similar advisory environment
  • Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) is required
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS, with strong technical accounting capability 
  • Proven track record in preparing and defending accounting position papers
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to engage at CFO level
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills

 

 

Ideally, youll also

 

  • Prior experience in Transaction Services, CFO Advisory, or Deals/Strategy Execution teams
  • Experience with complex and cross-border transactions
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic deal environment
