The opportunity

The BMC MarTech Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of BMCs digital, data, and marketing technology ecosystem. This role is a part of the Enterprise Technology CBS Solutions Delivery Team and partners closely with Product Managers in Technology Enablement, and cross-functional business teams such as Clients & Industries (C&I), Talent, Alumni and Communications.

 

A major responsibility is alignment with Data Architecture teams to build a data-driven, AI-enabled future. The architect ensures that MarTech platforms, integrations, identity systems, taxonomies, and data models support scalable analytics, personalisation, automation, and responsible AI adoption.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the BMC MarTech architecture strategy and vision
  • Define MarTech architectural standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures
  • Shape multiyear roadmaps with Product Managers and crossfunctional business leaders
  • Translate strategic business needs into futurestate capability models and architectures
  • Act as the architectural connector across BMC, ET, C&I, Talent, Alumni, and Communications
  • Ensure interoperability and shared experience frameworks across business functions
  • Reduce duplication and promote enterprise platform and standards reuse
  • Produce solution options with pros/cons, costs, risks, technical debt, and compliance (infoSec, GCO, data)
  • Collaborate with Data Architecture teams to design AIready data models, taxonomies, and metadata structures.
  • Ensure MarTech systems integrate effectively with enterprise data lakes, CDPs, analytics platforms, and identity systems.
  • Assess emerging technologies and evaluate platform/vendor options with Product Management teams
  • Influence investment decisions, business cases, and sourcing strategies
  • Support design assurance and enterprise governance forums
  • Promote APIfirst, event-driven, modular, and composable architecture principles
  • Champion performance, resilience, observability, accessibility, and global scalability
  • Communicate complex architectural concepts in clear, businessfocused language
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on MarTech strategy, innovation, and platform evolution

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Deep knowledge of MarTech ecosystems: CRM, CDP, CMS, automation, analytics, identity & consent
  • Strong architectural modelling capabilities (business, data, application, technology)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data strategy, data governance, and AI-enablement
  • Experience designing integrations across multiple enterprise platforms
  • Excellent communication, leadership, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Exposure to Data Architecture or AI/ML platform design.
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce, CDPs, DAM, or similar ecosystems
  • Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF), cloud certifications
