ETL Resource

 

 

Position Overview

 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Resource to join our dynamic data management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes that enable efficient data integration and transformation across various systems. This role requires a strong understanding of database technologies, data modelling, and ETL tools, ensuring high-quality delivery in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows and data integration solutions using industry-standard ETL tools.
  • Analyse source system data and business requirements to create robust data transformation and loading strategies.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise ETL processes for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality and alignment with business goals.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including data mapping, process flows, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance and security standards during the ETL process.

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in ETL development and data integration.
  • Proficiency in ETL tools such as SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Experience with data warehousing, data modelling, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

 

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • Experience with cloud-based ETL solutions (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting.
  • Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
