What does the job involve?

Responsible for operating and monitoring automated control systems used in energy production. Involves monitoring equipment, analysing data, troubleshooting operational issues, and ensuring that systems operate according to established procedures. Diagnose issues that arise and perform necessary adjustments or repairs. Responsible for adhering to safety protocols, and continuously optimizing the energy production processes through automation.

You are utilizing your knowledge in a specific area to carry out tasks that have a short-term operational impact/risk. You independently complete assigned work, either with guidance or by following well-defined guidelines and procedures, in order to achieve targets set by others that have an impact on your immediate team. You effectively communicate facts, practices, and policies to individuals within your immediate team and occasionally with external parties. You adhere to established procedures, identify and resolve challenges, seek continuous improvement, embrace change and ambiguity, and demonstrate flexibility to adopt new activities and ways of working.​ You follow and comply with safety, ethics, and compliance requirements and align with leadership expectations and company values. What will my tasks be?

Within this position, your key tasks will be to:

• Responsible for all maintenance task within the automation field, ensuring that operational requirements are met in accordance with governing documentation and company procedures. 

• Contribute to the technical training of apprentices and other employees in the automation team.  

• Ensure effective collaboration with suppliers and other disciplines to ensure seamless coordination and cooperation. 

• Perform routine  tasks on automation equipment and -systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. This includes tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, adjusting components, replacing worn-out parts, and regularly checking system parameters, alarms, and data trends to ensure smooth operation and identify any deviations or abnormalities. 

• Report on the history of activities and ensure that all activities are properly documented and completed, ensuring that tasks are executed efficiently and in a timely manner. 

• Actively participate in identifying areas for improvement in automation processes and procedures. 

• Troubleshoot issues that may arise, such as equipment malfunctions or faults. This involves using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify the root cause of the problem and proposing appropriate solutions. 

• Perform of automation equipment and -systems, including system upgrades, equipment improvements, repairs or implementation of new automation technologies.

• Mínimo de 3 anos de experiência com automação, preferencialmente com experiência em offshore.

• Diploma técnico em automação é exigido. Diploma em engenharia de automação será considerado um diferencial.

• Proficiência avançada em comunicação verbal e escrita em português e inglês.

• Fortes habilidades com o pacote Office. Também é necessário ter habilidades em manutenção de TI, especialmente em redes.

• Conhecimento de sistemas Siemens, Rockwell, Honeywell ou similares é altamente desejável.

• Fortes habilidades interpessoais, adaptável e capaz de realizar várias tarefas ao mesmo tempo.

• Valoriza a cooperação e a colaboração aberta como formas essenciais de trabalho. Proativo por natureza, toma iniciativa e pode trabalhar de forma independente quando necessário.

• Ser um modelo de segurança, diversidade e inclusão.
