Job description
DRW is seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to develop a proprietary delta one store of value and FICC options trading platform. This role involves working closely with traders to design, develop, and support full-stack software systems across multiple programming languages.
As a Software Engineer at Cumberland/FICC Options Desk Tools, you will work collaboratively to establish best-in-class trading tools for delta one store of value and FICC options trading desks. Your primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and supporting comprehensive software systems using multiple programming languages like Python, Java, Rust, and Typescript. You'll collaborate extensively with trading desks and supporting business units, transforming proof of concept ideas into production-ready solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network and concurrent programming, particularly in low-latency, high-message-rate environments. Demonstrated proficiency in Linux environments, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and a strong understanding of hardware/software interactions are essential. You should have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in Java or Python, with the ability to learn new languages quickly. Expertise in complex systems, distributed programming, data analysis, and event processing is crucial.
