Clearing and Settlement is responsible for managing the end-to-end clearing and settlement process. This is to ensure smooth and timely market settlement of OTC Derivative transactions and cash transfers between the bank and its counterparty. Work includes: (i) Supporting interaction between internal and external stakeholders involved in the clearing and settlement process chain (ii) Allocating assets to optimize the portfolio strategically (iii) Ensuring adherence with market standards (iv) Clearing and settling through both primary and secondary markets and direct payments

Your key responsibilities

As a Clearing and Settlement Operator, you will be accountable for managing the end-to-end settlement process and ensure smooth and timely market settlement of OTC Derivative transactions and cash transfers between Deutsche Bank and its counterparty.

In this capacity you will manage settlement through primary and secondary markets, or direct payment to clients and banks. You will support interfaces with different internal and external stakeholders (front office, clients, brokers, Nostro agents, exchanges and clearing houses) involved in the settlement process chain, according to the market standards. You will be responsible for trade date to settlement date processes (pre-matching and confirmation, trade processing, cash transfer, instruction routing, depot and inventory management, funding and settlement monitoring) and post-settlement date processes (fails management and reconciliations)

Key responsibilities shall include:

  • Manage the end-to-end settlement process and ensure smooth and timely market settlement of OTC Derivative transactions and cash transfers between Deutsche Bank and its counterparties/clients.

  • Support interfaces with different internal and external stakeholders (front office, clients, brokers, Nostro agents, exchanges and clearing houses) involved in the settlement process chain, according to the market standards.

  • Be responsible for trade date to settlement date processes (pre-matching and confirmation, trade processing, cash transfer, instruction routing, funding and settlement monitoring) and post-settlement date processes (fails management and reconciliations).

  • Assist in completion of control related tasks such as EOD, approvals and other adhoc requests like audit etc.

  • Assist to identify opportunities for process improvements and engage with SMEs/transformation team to discuss feasibility and completion
