Position Overview

Details of the Division and Team:

The Operations officer will be ensuring timely and accurate processing of trade finance transactions within own area of responsibility for smooth running of Trade Finance at Taiwan branch.

Your key responsibilities:

The role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of trade finance requests and documents received by the bank, including but not limited to:

  • Letters of Credit (LCs): Issuance of Import LCs, advising of Export LCs, examination of documents, and settlement of both export and import bills.

  • Documentary Collections: Verification of collection documents, booking, and settlement of export and import collection bills.

  • Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credit (SBLC): review and vetting of text, issuance, advising, and Book-Off of Guarantees or Standby Letter of Credit.

The role also involves handling documentation through the trade finance processing platform/system, managing stakeholder interactions (e.g., liaising with internal divisions, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and meeting client requirements).

In addition, the role is accountable for conducting risk assessments to mitigate internal and external operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in banking industry covering Trade Finance Operations

  • Knowledge of Trade Finance products including Letters of Credit, Documentary Collection, Guarantees and Financing Products.

  • Experience at intermediate level in MS Excel

  • Minimum a bachelor’s degree

  • Proven organizational skills and attention to details

  • A self –motivated, energetic and able to work independently

  • Confident, and enjoy working in a performance driven culture

  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills

  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
