Role Description

  • You will be operating within the Production services team of TST domain which spans 3 functions namely SES, TAS, & Trade Finance Lending domain which is a subdivision of Corporate Bank Production Services.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will be accountable for the following:

  • Driving the Change Advisory Board meetings effectively for CB applications.
  • Representing CB application changes (Infra, App) in the different CAB’s to seek approval.
  • Design pragmatic and effective processes to improve the overall CB Change Management process.
  • Continuous analysis of change related production issues and feedback bug fixes into application backlog for future sprints and releases
  • Create stories for production engineer owned changes for entry into release process
  • Maintain NFR standards, review requirements and specification
  • As key member of the CB Change team provide updates, highlighting any risks and concerns to relevant stakeholders
  • Actively monitor for and seek opportunities, new methods, trends, capabilities and products to the advancement of the organization
  • Maintain knowledge of specific specialisms, provide detailed advice regarding the application and execute specialized tasks
  • Own process of tracking manual tasks and identifying means of automation, employing both strategic and short term tactical automation means
  • Encourage and motivate colleagues to share creative ideas and learn from failures
  • Participates and provides input for lessons learnt sessions for sprints and projects
  • Manage large and complex data sets in an efficient manner
  • Challenge and conflict whilst driving for desired outcomes

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer science or IT-related discipline (or equivalent work based experience or diploma) and ITIL Foundation certificate
  • Overall IT experience of 7+ years
  • 3+ years Change Management experience within a global operations context
  • 3+ years’ experience in IT in large corporate environments, specifically in controlled production environments or in Financial Services Technology in a client-facing function
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix structures
  • Ability to work in and influence a much wider team.

Must Have:

  • Well versed with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and associated control gates.
  • Experienced in the techniques and methods around Change (Release Management and Change Management)
  • Working knowledge of core Change management tools (Service Now)
  • Minimum ITIL 4 Certified

Working experience of some of the following technology skills:

  • Operating systems (e.g., UNIX, Windows) and the underlying infrastructure environments.
  • Database environments (e.g. Oracle, MS-SQL, Sybase, No SQL)
  • Automation, monitoring and data analytics tools (e.g. Monitoring tool (Geneos/Nagios) , scheduling tool (Control-M /Autosys), Ansible, Blueprism, App dynamics, Splunk and similar tools)
  • Any scripting languages (e.g. UNIX shell and PowerShell, PERL, Python, Github, Spring boot, JAVA/.NET and similar programming languages)

Nice to Have

  • Global Transaction Banking / Corporate and Investment Banking Experience.
  • Experience of end-to-end Level 2 management and good overview of Production/Operations Management overall.
  • Experience of supporting complex application and infrastructure domains
  • Familiar with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Agile frameworks, Geneos, Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana & New Relic and knowledge of Cloud based technologies (Google Cloud Platform is an added benefit)
