Responsabilities

PB BRC Belgium (Business Risk and Controls) department is hiring a Junior Risk Officer to reinforce the team in Belgium. BRC is a fully independent department in charge of identifying business risks across the Private Bank and to challenge controls, processes, but also further improve our risk culture. Managing business risks and controls is critical to our success.


As a Risk Officer you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining and updating the controls inventory to ensure all banking activities are supported by effective and appropriate controls.
  • Analysing and reporting operational errors; prepare Lessons Learned when necessary to prevent recurrence and strengthen the control framework.
  • Supporting and challenging the business in managing findings, including overseeing the lifecycle of findings and SII.
  • Leading the Product Life Cycle (PLC) review for products offered to clients.
  • Organizing Branch reviews and perform targeted control activities as required.
  • Collaborating closely with the Legal department on all privacy-related matters.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks.
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with high attention to detail with a focus on continuous process improvement.
  • Background: Bachelor’s degree with min. 3-5 years of relevant experience.
