The business combines sales, trading and research teams who structure a range of financial market products and market these to our targeted client base. DB trades all currencies, including G10, Emerging Markets and Precious Metals, in all tenors. Working in a period of economic and regulatory uncertainty, the team places emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and risk management.

The Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) business is looking to hire a risk-manager for FX Derivatives in Singapore. The person will be an integral part of the Global Foreign Exchange business in Asia Pacific.

Your key responsibilities:

As a FX Derivatives Trader you will be responsible for:

  • Managing portfolio risk-management for EM Asia Derivatives global portfolios in the Asia time-zone

  • Oversee execution of client transactions and hedges across wide range of foreign-exchange markets

  • Quoting the bank’s franchise in the region across a wide range of currencies and derivative products

  • Meeting with institutional and corporate clients alongside Sales to maintain and develop the bank’s franchise in the Asia Pacific region

  • Work closely with Sales and Structuring to identify and nurture new opportunities and relationships with institutional and corporate clients

  • Embark on project and development initiatives to continually improve efficiency in our pricing, risk management and trade execution processes

Your skills and experience:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 6-10 years of prior work experience in FX Derivatives

  • Quantitative trading techniques for FX Derivative portfolios in both developed and emerging markets

  • Experience in an array of currencies and derivative products

  • Specialty in EM Asia Currencies & experience in managing complex structured products such as barrier derivatives, volatility swaps

  • Strong understanding in FX derivatives and risk management

  • Commercial focus, ability to take initiatives, and skills to solve complex business problems

  • Ability to articulate ideas confidently and concisely

  • Team Player
