Location: Vilnius, Lithuania

Customer Capabilities is a tribe of approximately 110 employees, organised in 11 cross-functional teams across Denmark, Lithuania and India. We are committed to delivering effective end-to-end solutions for both external customers and internal users in Danske Bank. We cover several critical domains: Fees, Interest, Tax Reporting and Customer Communication.  

We deliver essential banking products and customer experiences at scale and with high transaction volumes. Our architecture is microservices-based and runs on AWS. We use platforms and components such as Flowable, SmartComms and Apryse to build and ship seamless solutions.

We are a group of skilled engineers in Lithuania, Denmark and India focused on building sustainable, scalable software. We value clean design, measurable performance and putting customers at the centre of every decision.

The workplace is in Vilnius. Danske Bank supports workplace flexibility and currently uses a hybrid model, with the opportunity to work from home 1-2 days per week.

This role does not include a relocation allowance. 

You will:

  • Build and evolve systems that power everyday banking products and customer experiences.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Implement robust engineering and security practices for cloud-native applications.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, UX designers and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Take part in transformation initiatives and contribute to challenging, high-impact deliveries.
  • Help shape an agile, supportive culture that values teamwork and diversity. 

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on cloud experience and strong understanding of standards and operational setup (AWS preferred, certification is beneficial).
  • Strong .NET experience and hands-on skills with SQL, messaging (MQ) and microservices, including container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes/EKS).
  • Front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React or similar) would be beneficial.
  • Strong experience generative AI concepts and tooling (model APIs, embeddings, vector databases) is a plus.
  • Customer-first mindset, strong collaboration skills and professional English proficiency. 
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong curiosity and a continuous-improvement approach.

Monthly salary range from 4960 EUR to 7440  EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
