Job Overview

The Pega Certified Business Architect is a senior-level role responsible for driving business and functional outcomes by translating complex business needs into scalable Pega-based solutions. This role plays a critical part in large, enterprise-scale initiatives such as the Franchise Critical OM & AI Initiative, ensuring alignment between business strategy, technology execution, and program value delivery.

The overall objective of this role is to lead business architecture, stakeholder collaboration, and solution definition across complex, cross-functional programs involving AI/ML integration, operational modernization, and enterprise transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business architecture and solution design for complex Pega implementations, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, operational goals, and regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with Product Owners, Technical Architects, Engineering Leads, and Program Management to define endtoend business processes, requirements, and value outcomes.

  • Define, document, and manage business requirements, user journeys, service cases, and decisioning logic for enterprise Pega solutions.

  • Serve as a key contributor to large-scale, complex programs by supporting planning, execution, and value realization across multiple workstreams and IRs (including IR202602991 and IR202602889).

  • Facilitate effective communication across business and technology stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business terms for senior leaders and Steering Committees.

  • Support steering committee and executive reviews by providing concise business impact assessments, progress updates, risk insights, and recommendations.

  • Proactively identify business, operational, and solution-related risks; support mitigation strategies and drive issue resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Ensure Pega solutions adhere to business architecture standards, governance models, and quality assurance practices while maximizing reuse, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Collaborate closely with System Architects to ensure business intent is accurately reflected in solution design and implementation.

  • Support Agile Release Train execution by working within SAFe frameworks and enabling smooth delivery across multiple teams and dependencies.

  • Drive continuous improvement in business architecture practices, requirements management, and stakeholder engagement models.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis, business architecture, or enterprise solution design.

  • Extensive experience delivering large-scale, complex transformation initiatives within financial services or regulated environments.

  • Strong experience working with Pega platforms, including case management, decisioning, and workflow automation.

  • Proven ability to work in Agile and SAFe environments, collaborating across multiple teams and product lines.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and facilitate alignment across business and technology organizations.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear, concise verbal and written communication skills, particularly with executive audiences.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment capabilities.
