Job Overview

The Global Travel Program Management Lead is responsible for overseeing complex, multi-country global travel initiatives that span technology, operations, vendor management, compliance, and change management. This role serves as a central coordinator and project leader for Global Travel and Business Travel Shared Services (BTSS) initiatives, ensuring consistent execution, strong stakeholder alignment, and measurable improvements in program adoption, policy compliance, cost efficiency, and user experience.

The role partners closely with global business leaders, regional teams, technology partners, and third-party vendors to translate business needs into structured project plans and scalable global solutions. Success in this role relies on strong program management, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities rather than deep technical expertise

  • Lead end-to-end program and project management for global travel and BTSS initiatives, from planning and design through global rollout, adoption, and post-implementation support.
  • Serve as Project Manager for the design and global launch of initiatives establishing standardized booking workflows, governance frameworks, operating models, and global travel processes.
  • Oversee complex, multi-country travel projects by integrating logistics, vendor coordination, compliance requirements, and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, risk logs, and dependency tracking to ensure on-time delivery and consistent execution.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and communications on project status, milestones, risks, and dependencies, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Act as a key liaison between Global Travel business teams, BTSS, technology partners, procurement, finance, compliance, and external travel suppliers.
  • Communicate policy changes, program updates, and escalations related to traveler experience
  • Draft and deliver clear, effective communications including project updates, stakeholder briefings, rollout announcements, change communications, and executive summaries.
  • Create and maintain project and program documentation such as charters, business requirements summaries, governance materials, FAQs, training content, and user-facing guidance.
  • Support business process changes by documenting impacts, risks, mitigation plans, and operational readiness requirements.
  • Support implementation activities including business readiness assessments, user acceptance testing coordination, go-live planning, and post-implementation follow-up.
  • Track issues, action items, and decisions, ensuring timely follow-up, resolution, and documentation of lessons learned.
  • Provide business-facing operational and application support related to global travel platforms, including coordinating issue resolution with vendors and internal partners.
  • Support compliance, governance, and third-party management activities, ensuring alignment with internal policies, security requirements, and global travel standards.
  • Ensure documentation, communications, and processes remain current with evolving policies, regulations, and business needs.
  • Contribute to measurable cost savings, process efficiencies, and improved traveler and stakeholder experience across the global travel program.
  • Manage and support ad hoc initiatives, issues, and requests related to global travel and BTSS, addressing business needs, operational challenges, and stakeholder requests across regions
