Full Job Description

Main purpose

The role has been built to support the Global Metals & Minerals Operations teams. The candidate will conduct several standard operational and reporting tasks intrinsically linked to the execution of purchase and sales refined metals & minerals contracts.

Key responsibilities

  • Performing the tasks in the system based on standard operating process and/or instructions from operators in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Ensuring that the turnaround time for document presentation and task deadlines is maintained.

  • Present full shipment documentation to customs, coordination in advance with other areas, cargo follow up until placed in storage at specific warehouse.

  • Preparation of insurance certificates based on inputs from operations.

  • Issue timely & accurate sales invoices based on request from operations.

  • Follow ups with warehouses/counterparties for required documentation.

  • Reporting daily, weekly, fortnightly and monthly.

  • Organizing stock inspections (appointments, updating inspection spreadsheet, paying inspection invoices).

  • Coordination with laboratories and external supervisors.

  • Determine opportunities to improve and automate processes and functions / System testing.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology engineering, business administration or similar related fields.

  • 1-2 years of experience in similar position (preferably in Trading or Logistic Companies).

  • IT skills: Very good with MS Office Suite specially Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook. Should have hands on experience of leveraging MS Excel for data gathering & reporting using advanced MS Excel skills (Macros, VBAs, Integrating Excel with other tools etc.)

  • Flair for identifying process improvement opportunities and executing them.

  • Fluent domain of English, intermediate or equivalent to B2.

  • Fluent domain of Spanish, advanced/ native or equivalent to C2.
