Role Overview

The Equity Derivatives Middle Office team plays a critical role in supporting multiple sales desks by resolving exceptions across diverse trade flows. Operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we continuously seek innovative ways to improve processes, including system enhancements and strategic project work, addressing new challenges daily.

What you'll do

  • Process equity derivatives transactions and provide analytical support for sales, contributing to the review of derivative products.
  • Identify and resolve securities and derivative settlement issues, recommending process improvements to leadership.
  • Analyze moderately complex reports to fulfill management requirements, support control activities, and facilitate the launch of new products and services.
  • Monitor for and suggest solutions to errors, leveraging an intermediate understanding of procedural requirements to minimize risk to the firm.
  • Escalate transaction processing issues to relevant departments and collaborate on effective solutions.
  • Design and analyze moderately complex reports in alignment with leadership-defined standards.
  • Contribute to control activities and the successful introduction of new products and services.
  • Ensure all processes adhere strictly to audit and control policies.
  • Proactively assess risk in business decisions, prioritizing the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, exercising sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalating, managing, and reporting control issues.

  • Foundational understanding of financial markets, ideally with exposure to equity derivatives or middle office operations.
  • Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced work setting.
