Job Overview
Citi Funds Transfer Pricing (CitiFTP) is undergoing significant transformation led by Treasury as part of consent order commitments. The platform has expanded beyond Interest Rate Transfer Pricing to include Financing Benchmark Rates Distribution and Standard Pool, with further expansion planned into Liquidity Premium Components, Client FTP, Markets, and integration of new applications such as BCTP and IRIS.
This growth materially increases infrastructure complexity and operational risk across. To ensure scalability, resilience, and alignment with Citis Developer Manifesto, a Senior Infrastructure Lead is required.
As CitiFTP evolves into a multi-domain Treasury platform, infrastructure must:
- Scale reliably to support increased processing volume and global coverage
- Reduce operational risk through automation and guardrails
- Improve resiliency through monitoring, alerting, and proactive issue detection
- Align with Citis Developer Manifesto standards for engineering excellence
- Provide visibility into platform health and risk posture
The role will be responsible for leading efforts to:
- Lead infrastructure strategy supporting CitiFTPs multi-domain expansion
- Reduce deployment risk through automation, rollback mechanisms, and standardized guardrails
- Ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability for upcoming domain integrations (Client FTP, Markets, BCTP, IRIS)
- Partner closely with DevOps, Architecture, Product Owners, Scrum Teams and CTI
- Provide regular executive updates to EMT-4 on infrastructure and DevOps maturity.
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
- Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Recommended Qualifications:
- 6 - 10 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, production support, or platform engineering, with 5+ years in a senior or lead role within large, regulated environments.
- Strong handson experience supporting missioncritical infrastructure platforms with high availability and strict SLA requirements.
- Expertise in one or more areas such as Linux/Unix, middleware/messaging, container platforms, cloud or hybrid infrastructure, and DevOps toolchains.
- Proven leadership in incident, problem, and change management, including Sev1/Sev2 ownership, RCA, and executive communications.
- Demonstrated ability to lead globally distributed teams and partner effectively with Application, DevOps, SRE, Architecture, and Risk teams.
- Experience operating in environments subject to regulatory, audit, and risk management controls.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into business impact.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications preferred.
- Masters degree preferred
