Job Overview

Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) is a solutions-led business for the demands of mid-sized and emerging corporates.

The current opening of the Product Sales Manager is responsible for driving the revenue growth for Citi across the banking products (Cash and Trade) by acquiring new business clients and upselling to existing ones. This role bridges the gap between client needs and product capabilities, working closely with Product and Technical teams. Seeking a high-energy, entrepreneurial individual to drive market adoption and revenue growth for our innovative [Product/Services]. You will own the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing, and act as the primary voice of the customer to refine our product roadmap. 

In this role, youre expected to:

  • Responsible for actively calling on clients in partnership with Relationship Managers to deepen relationships, proactively owning, responding to and anticipating future needs, challenges or risks, in addition to identifying and pursuing new clients aligned with CITIs value proposition.
  • Bring product expertise, complex solutioning, multi product, multi deals to the table and solution the same for the client on the Transaction banking front
  • Lead the Fintech segment to drive adoption, revenue, and strategy for digital  products that Citi has. Knowledge of payments landscape in India / Overseas is mandatory  
  • Perform in-depth SOW analysis for clients in portfolio to identify real names with convertible opportunities, where Citi can deepen and increase share of wallet.
  • Works with product specialists and subject matter experts to structure innovative and customized solutions that meet clients individual needs
  • Develop deep client relationship becoming a trusted advisor and first in mind recall for clients.
  • Networks with clients to identify avenues for new business opportunities.
  • Driving sales for funded and non-funded trade products, including Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and Import/Export finance; Structuring transactions for the client, which will provide benefits to the clientele that he / she is managing
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies / guidelines at all time
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience working in Corporate/Commercial Bank covering Digital & Technology clients is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in team setting with a go getter mindset
  • Ability to coordinate multi-functional teams to provide an exceptional client experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (e.g., negotiation, consultative skills, leadership)
  • Ability to work under pressure while making sound decisions
  • Highly focused, able to rapidly identify key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities
  • A proactive approach in looking for ways in strengthening business relationship with clients, delivers a simple, secure, and seamless client experience
  • Passion for creating new business opportunities with existing clients and able to demonstrate innovative approaches to meeting clients needs.
  • Ability to embrace new technology and understand the role digital plays in the experience we deliver for our clients
  • Able to quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insights

Education:

  • Postgraduate (MBA/CA) from a reputable institute
  • Bachelors/University degree, masters degree preferred
