Job Overview

The Securities Service Client Executive is a pivotal, senior-level role specializing in custody services for financial institutions. This position is responsible for cultivating strong client relationships, ensuring seamless delivery of custody solutions, and providing strategic advisory related to asset servicing, transaction settlement, and regulatory compliance. In coordination with internal operations, product, and client service teams, the Client Executive will serve as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate the complexities of global markets while safeguarding their assets. The primary objective is to act as a strategic partner, optimizing clients' custody arrangements and delivering comprehensive securities services, while actively contributing tostrategic growth initiatives, driving cross-sales opportunities, and leveraging data-driven insightsto enhance client value.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for client profitability, day-to-day service and client satisfaction
  • Operational Liaison & Data Utilization:Act as the primary point of contact for clients on all custody-related operational matters, coordinating with internal teams (e.g., operations, technology, legal, compliance) to ensure high-quality service delivery and issue resolution.
  • Market Analysis & Insights:Monitor industry developments, regulatory landscapes, and competitive offerings within the custody services space to provide valuable insights and solutions to clients.
  • Business Development & Cross-Sales:Identify opportunities for expanding custody mandates with existing clients and support new business development efforts by showcasing Citi's custody capabilities.Proactively identify and develop cross-selling opportunities for other Citi products and services (e.g., cash management, foreign exchange, fund services, collateral management , alternative assets , )
  • Perform regular client reviews to gauge overall client satisfaction and coordinate responses to client concerns
  • Drive continuous enhancement of Citi products and services and partner with support groups and client to ensure Citi is a top 3 provider
  • Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure all custody activities and client interactions adhere to internal policies, industry regulations
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firms reputation
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citis Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 4-10 years of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience of security Services and capital markets
  • Comprehensive cross-product knowledge covering equities, fixed income, foreign exchanges and swaps
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the risk and control environment impacting Citi
  • Proven self-motivation and organizational skills
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Strong written and verbal English skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
