This is a senior-level opportunity to join our team as a Director focusing on Central Bank Rates Sales. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with Central Bank clients, acting as their trusted advisor. You will leverage Citi's global platform and deep product expertise to deliver bespoke investment strategies and financing solutions. This position offers the chance to be an integral part of a successful global franchise, drive significant revenue, and lead complex transactions for a highly sophisticated client base.

Primary Responsibilities of the role

  • Act as a strategic advisor to Central Bank clients by formulating investment strategies and providing solutions to help them manage their portfolios and financial risks.
  • Develop and implement a targeted sales and marketing strategy to deepen Citi's client footprint and maximize revenue across the full suite of Rates products, including SSA, Government bonds, derivatives, and inflation products.
  • Leverage your extensive network to understand client needs, introduce Citi's comprehensive offerings, and drive the adoption of our solutions.
  • Lead the strategic positioning and closing of transactions by coordinating with various internal stakeholders, including structuring, trading, legal, credit, and risk management teams.
  • Originate and execute buying and selling opportunities for clients by forging strong relationships with salespeople and traders across the Citi franchise.
  • Ensure the business operates with robust governance and controls, working in close partnership with functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, and Audit.

What we need from you

  • Extensive sales experience at a leading financial services organization.
  • Extensive experience in a senior client-facing role with a proven track record of covering Central Bank or sovereign clients.
  • Deep product knowledge across the Rates spectrum, including government bonds, SSAs, interest rate swaps, and inflation-linked products.
  • Established relationships with a broad network of institutional clients within the buy-side community.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex financial transactions and provide strategic advice to sophisticated clients.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
