Role Description

The Fund Accounting Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for Managing a critical client within UK Financial Reporting, leading a variety of fund reporting activities in coordination with global stakeholders. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with UK Financial Reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Managing all financial and client reporting deliverables by successfully collaborating with Onshore stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to implement process improvement & recommend system, service & process enhancement initiatives and efficiency gain.
  • Develop a strong governance & control structure, support audits, interfacing with auditors & close process gaps.
  • Actively participate in Productivity workgroup and contribute to the success of the workgroup.
  • Preparation of MIS, Meet SLAs, engage GPC site level priority workgroups & contribute to project deliverables.
  • Proactively balance team resources and workflow requirements.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

Desired Candidate Profile / Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of experience in Financial Reporting for mutual funds/hedge funds.
  • M. Com, MBA, Post-Graduation from recognized business institute/university, major in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional qualifications like CA, CFA, and CPA will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrate leadership & management skills, ability to work in team-oriented environment.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in related area.
  • Preparation/review of financial statements/regulatory reports like Balance sheet, P&L, SOI, Notes to financial statements.
  • Acting as subject matter expert for the team. Knowledge on UK SORP will be a preference.
  • Well versed with accounting and reporting platforms like Multifonds and Unity.
  • Understand the end-to-end data and process flow; experience on new client onboarding would be an added advantage.
  • Engage as an active collaborator with business / Onshore teams to ensure alignment with key stakeholders in Business, Ops and Technology.
  • During Confluence migration focus on transparency, timely escalation, cross site collaboration, shared learnings.
  • Successful implementation of key client onboarding initiatives on Confluence.
  • Act as Confluence system SMEs as required & support the testing & rollout of the applications across the FR.
  • Identify and implement corrective action plans across teams while analyzing and assessing business risk.
  • Experience with Confluence Unity financial reporting platform, Publishing and Workbook functionality, is a plus.
  • Should have sound understanding of Derivatives, Equities and Fixed income securities.
  • Experience in process set-up/migration of work and onboarding new clients would be preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of AI tools and experience will be a value-add.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills & people management skills.
  • Good Team Player, Interpersonal skill, Quick learner.
  • Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office applications required, specifically Excel.
