Company Description

We’re Checkout.com – you might not know our name, but companies like eBay, ASOS, Klarna, Uber Eats, and Sony do. That moment when you check out online? We make it happen.

Checkout.com is where the world checks out. Our global network powers billions of transactions every year, making money move without making a fuss. We spent years perfecting a service most people will never notice. Because when digital payments just work, businesses grow, customers stay, and no one stops to think about why.

With 19 offices spanning six continents, we feel at home everywhere – but London is our HQ. Wherever our people work their magic, they’re fast-moving, performance-obsessed, and driven by being better every day. Ideal. Because a role here isn’t just another job; it’s a career-defining opportunity to build the future of fintech.

Job Description

As part of Checkout.com’s #NextGen 8-Week Internship Program you’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and a comprehensive introduction to digital payments and technology. The program offers an extensive learning experience through technical training, professional development workshops, and direct access to industry experts. You'll be part of a global Early Careers community, with regular networking events, mentoring opportunities, and social activities designed to build connections and accelerate your growth and leadership potential. By the end of the scheme, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to make a lasting impact at Checkout.com and beyond.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our global People Team, contributing significantly to the areas of Talent Acquisition (TA), Employer Brand, and Human Resources (HR). You will have the opportunity to work alongside a very hardworking Talent Acquisition team and our wider People function. This role provides an exceptional opportunity for progression and growth within one of the world's fastest-growing FinTech companies.
How you’ll make an impact

The internship focuses on supporting the People Team's operational excellence and strategic objectives across the employee lifecycle:
  • Support the creation of successful hiring campaigns, including building creative searches and diverse pipelines across various hiring platforms.
  • Contribute to building talent content and candidate communications.
  • Assist in implementing scalable ways of hiring on the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), focusing on tagging, process management, and continuous improvement for pipeline reporting.
  • Support talent attraction and employer branding initiatives.
  • Assist in generating and leveraging content that promotes the company's commitment to building diverse and inclusive teams.
  • Help plan and execute events, training, and initiatives aimed at fostering community and networking among employees, particularly early career talent.
  • Support the People Team during periods of business change and with various ad-hoc projects.
  • Support office management and Workplace Operations activities, which may include managing inquiries, coordinating meetings, and assisting with access passes or general office support (tasks often handled by Workplace/People Ops).
  • Collaborate on projects aimed at process improvements and operational efficiencies within the People function.

What we’re looking for
  • In your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, due to graduate in 2027.
  • Interest in supporting the talent team and the broader People function.
  • A proactive mindset and enjoyment in taking initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively, thriving when multitasking and handling multiple goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised individual with an appetite to take on responsibility
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate a clear sense of ownership and accountability
  • Available to work full-time for the duration of the 8-week programme across July and August 2026

Bring all of you to work

We create the conditions for high performers to thrive – through real ownership, fewer blockers, and work that makes a difference from day one.

Here, you’ll move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and be recognized for the impact you deliver. It’s a place where ambition gets met with opportunity – and where your growth is in your hands.

We work as one team, and we back each other to succeed. So whatever your background or identity, if you’re ready to grow and make a difference, you’ll be right at home here.

It’s important we set you up for success and make our process as accessible as possible. So let us know in your application, or tell your recruiter directly, if you need anything to make your experience or working environment more comfortable.
