We have a great opportunity for a Shift Operations Electrical AP for a key role in our Data Centre Operations, which provides best in class operation and maintenance for our customers critical power generation sites.
The role focuses on system monitoring, implementation of procedures and SSOW, equipment checks and system maintenance and repairs for the client equipment.
The role would suit a candidate who possesses the skills necessary to effectively interpret data from multiple sources, react promptly to event notifications and follow established procedures to rectify and escalate issues, in line with contractual obligations.
About the role:
- Monitoring customer assets to maximise efficiency in line with contractual terms
- Managing and prioritising incoming event notifications to comply with relevant contractual obligations
- Providing professional, concise communications to a variety of internal and external customers and stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records of all tasks undertaken on the monitoring tool and asset management system.
- Ensuring a comprehensive and thorough handover takes place between shift teams to maintain continuity of safe operations and ensure ongoing knowledge of work activities.
- Working efficiently in an SLA (Service Level Agreement) driven team environment
- Daily site inspections of mechanical & electrical engineering systems and technical equipment.
- Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
- React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency actions as set out in the agreed procedures.
- Issue permits and oversight of third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Producing reports detailing asset availability and performance patterns
- Adhering to all applicable company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
- Provide support to the maintenance team during maintenance activities.
Here's what we're looking for:
- Previous experience working in a mission critical and/or power generation environment.
- Good IT literacy, ability to write and develop documents, SOPs/EOPs.
- A good understanding of CMMS (Maintenance Management Systems) is desirable but not essential.
- Familiar with UPS & battery systems.
- Experience in carrying out electrical switching activities & testing (LV).
- Good understanding of LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) practices, hazardous energy and permit systems
- NFQ L6 (Tradesperson) or equivalent in an electrical discipline, or other technical fields will be considered.
- Engineering Degree is desirable but not essential.
