Your Role

As a maintenance planner you play a critical role in the maintenance workflow by ensuring efficient planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to maximize equipment availability, minimize downtime, and improve operational performance.
As a gatekeeper, you control, validate, and regulate maintenance activities to ensure safety, compliance, and proper execution of all work interventions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance schedules
  • Control access to the maintenance schedule and prevent conflicts
  • Prepare work orders (job plans, procedures, required resources)
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production teams and safety teams to schedule downtime
  • Prioritize tasks based on equipment criticality and business impact
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Ensure all required permits
  • Confirm availability of resources (technicians, spare parts, tools)
  • Review and validate maintenance requests before execution (quality, completeness, priority)
  • Ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and HSE rules
  • Stop, reject, or escalate non-compliant activities

Your Profile

  • Knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP PM, Maximo, etc.)
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Technical knowledge (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation)
  • Knowledge of HSE procedures and permit-to-work systems

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, Maintenance, or related field
  • 25+ years of experience in maintenance or industrial planning
  • Experience in maintenance, operations, or HSE
  • Field experience is a strong advantage
