YOUR ROLE
As an Instrumentation & Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and compliant execution of field instrumentation activities within an industrial processing environment. This role is site-based and operational, with a strong focus on supervising daytoday I&C works, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications, project quality standards, and safety requirements.
You can expect to work closely with construction contractors, commissioning teams, and control system specialists to deliver instrumentation installation, calibration, and testing activities on schedule. The role requires continuous field presence, sound technical judgement, and clear coordination across disciplines to resolve issues promptly and maintain work continuity.
This position is well suited to professionals who enjoy handson supervision, structured site environments, and playing a key role in the successful delivery of complex industrial projects.
What you can expect in the role:
- Supervision of instrumentation installation, wiring, calibration, loop checks, and functional testing
- Daily coordination with contractors, construction teams, and DCS/PLC specialists
- Verification of I&C works against drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
- Management and control of work permits and onsite safety activities
- Support to precommissioning and commissioning activities, including system handover
- Identification and resolution of site issues, nonconformities, and punch list items
- Regular progress reporting and communication with site management and engineering teams
YOUR PROFILE
- Academic background in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising instrumentation and control activities in refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong hands-on expertise in I&C installation, wiring, calibration, and loop checks, with solid understanding of field execution practices
- Proven ability to coordinate contractors and interface effectively with control system (DCS/PLC) and commissioning teamsHigh standards in safety, quality, and permit-to-work compliance, with a practical, site-driven approach to problem solving
