Job purpose and primary objectives:

Confirmation and Regulatory reporting are crucial part of bps trading lifecycle and license to operate. The application ecosystem allows the Confirmations team to generate and send confirmations, perform broker matching activities, deal reconciliation, and send out automatic chaser emails to counterparties. For Regulatory Reporting users, the system reports the deals and supporting information to external regulators. The system processes this information from two of the deal entry systems including Endur ETRM and Titan (for LNG Deals).

This role will be working within the technology group of GPTI business, supporting the Confirmation and Regulatory Reporting systems. You will be working closely with business users, business analysts, software engineers, UX designers, and other business partners.

What you will deliver

Change impact analysis, process definition, process improvement

Gathering business requirements and recording them in a product backlog

Elaborate backlog items ready for delivery

Project delivery, reporting, risk management

Perform functional testing

Utilize scrum methodology where relevant

Develop knowledge transfer materials for stakeholders on new processes and software functionality

What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications)

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Energy Trading and Risk Management preferably Gas & Power

Experience working with at least one globally traded market, preferably physical commodities

Working with business analysts and traders to elaborate requirements, design and implement efficient application solutions

Implementing a test regime to ensure solution quality across the delivery

Working with a hybrid team of delivery resources (internal & external); utilising scrum methodology where relevant.

Strong understanding of energy market regulations, including REMIT, and their impact on trading, reporting, and operational processes

Practical experience with trade confirmations, including both paper-based and electronic confirmations, and an understanding of the end-to-end confirmation lifecycle.

Strong Communications skills and a high EQ with the ability to operate across complex business environments and stakeholders up to executive level

Experience with agile framework for software delivery, Azure DevOps (or similar)

Database design and knowledge of SQL.

Proficiency in English language
