About the role

At bp, we are looking for an Area Manager (Granada) to lead commercial performance across a group of retail sites in the Granada area.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering strong results across site performance, safety, customer relationships, contract management, and business growth. You will manage a portfolio of approximately 35 to 45 sites, working closely with business partners, customers, and internal teams to improve performance and support the long-term success of the network.

This is a field-based commercial role for someone who enjoys managing relationships, identifying business opportunities, supporting partners, and driving consistent performance across multiple locations.

What you will do

  • Manage a portfolio of 35 to 45 retail sites and support strong commercial and operational performance.
  • Drive performance in line with bps safety, compliance, and business standards.
  • Manage commercial relationships with site partners and support contract renewals and negotiations.
  • Lead annual business planning and performance review discussions with key partners in your area.
  • Prepare solid business cases to support renewals, site development, and growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local fleet customers to support customer retention, satisfaction, and volume growth.
  • Support local business development activities and identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Represent bp in meetings with local customers, business associations, transport groups, and other external stakeholders.
  • Support the growth and transition of sites in line with business plans for the area.

What we are looking for

  • Experience in retail, multi-site operations, commercial field roles, or partner management
  • Strong experience in relationship management, negotiation, and commercial delivery
  • Ability to manage several priorities independently and work with a high level of autonomy
  • Good financial understanding and confidence building business cases
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A performance-driven mindset with the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities
  • Fluent English
  • Higher education degree preferred
  • Business-related postgraduate education is a plus
