Full Job Description

In this role, youll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Follow and add to our defined architecture, technology standards, and best practices for applications, middleware, and databases for development
  • Work with the team and architect on design, prototyping and delivery of software solutions, helping manage the technical environment (software, data, interfaces, integration), researching new tools and technologies, and help with developing better analytics solutions.
  • Foster a culture of learning, innovating, and continuous improvement
  • Promote engineering best practices to deliver software via rapid iterations and frequent releases
  • Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings and other Agile ceremonies
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure timely delivery across all the systems at the program level
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly to minimize impact.



To be successful in this role, were seeking the following:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline preferred
  • 5+ years of mainframe experience
  • Demonstrated skill in AI prompting and the practical use of AI tools to improve development productivity, problem-solving, and support workflows

  • COBOL (CICS), JCL, CICS, VSAM

  • MQ

  • DB2, SQL

  • Micro-Services Architecture, Scalable High Resiliency Systems, Workflow is preferred.

  • Experience in Agile methodologies, either Sprint or Kanban

  • Solid grasp of Git, CI/CD, Agile principles

  • Strong technical and communication skills required

  • Knowledge and experience in financial services or fintech is preferred
