Full Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic legal consultant to be a part of our Legal Solutions team in London. The team are client facing and work with lawyers and other technology and innovation teams to design and deliver legal solutions.
The Legal Consultant will help drive the design and delivery of the team's portfolio of legal solutions and legal transformation services, including market-leading contract services and solutions for the International Commercial Group. It is a dynamic role that will provide an opportunity to work with key stakeholders within the firm as well as directly with our clients. The primary focus of this role will be on the delivery of legal solutions, legal transformation projects and legal project management services with cross over with process design utilising the latest legal technologies. The successful candidate will work as part of a high-performance team, demonstrating communication and coordination skills and the ability to effectively multi-task and manage stakeholder expectations as well as work directly with clients at client-site.
Key Responsibilities
Bird & Bird's Legal Solutions team comprises legal consultants and solution design experts who work with the firm's lawyers and innovation teams to design and deliver market-leading legal services and solutions for clients across our 32 offices.
- Design legal solutions working with advanced technologies to enhance processes, controls and risk management.
- Deliver complex client projects with technical excellence and a practical, commercial mindset.
- Use emerging legal technologies to improve contract management, digitization and data models.
- Serve as the main client contact, lead meetings, and ensure actions are completed.
- Foster relationships and support knowledge-sharing across stakeholders.
- Scope matters efficiently and select appropriate resources.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to set priorities and agree on solutions.
- Direct current state analysis and future transformation initiatives, managing teams to identify improvements.
- Communicate clearly and confidently at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Adjust processes to fit specific needs and manage risks throughout each matter.
- Coordinate parties across groups and jurisdictions as needed.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication and lead lessons learned reviews.
- Monitor fees and handle financial reporting.
- Promote idea sharing and collaborative work.
