About the job:

Job Purpose & Objectives

  • Technical Secretariat: Ensure the effective governance of the Asia Credit Committee by supporting informed and structured decision-making, maintaining proper documentation, and upholding compliance with internal risk frameworks.

  • Portfolio Monitoring: Provide oversight of the Banks credit exposure by analyzing portfolio data and delivering insights on trends, risks, and performance to support senior decision-making.

  • Policy Update: Contribute to the maintenance of a robust risk framework by supporting the periodic review and alignment of internal policies with Group standards and local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilites

  • Coordinate the preparation and review of credit proposals to ensure completeness and alignment with approval delegation frameworks.

  • Verify that credit proposals meet minimum documentation and compliance standards prior to Committee submission.

  • Organize the Asia Credit Committee, including agenda and minutes preparation, coordination of materials, and recording of decisions in the systems.

  • Prepare periodic reports on the Asia Credit Committee's activity, summarizing key discussions, decisions, and risk considerations.

  • Extract and analyze portfolio data to monitor exposure levels, concentrations, and credit quality.

  • Prepare portfolio presentations highlighting key risk metrics and developments of the Asian client portfolio.

  • Support the update and implementation of internal credit risk policies and procedures across Asian branches.

Job Specifications

Qualification & Experience

  • With a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in corporate banking credit risk management within reputable financial institutions.

  • Familiar with risk assessments of large corporate clients

  • Degree holder in Business Administration / Finance / Accountancy or its equivalent.

  • Good understanding of banking products and risk management concepts.


Language

  • Strong communication skills in English.

  • Additional languages (eg Spanish) will be an asset.

Other Skills (e.g. Interpersonal, Communication etc)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven ability to identify and communicate Credit Risk.

  • Effectively communicate skills to articulate risk issues.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Customer-oriented

  • Able to work in a matrix reporting structure, multi-functional and cross-cultural environment

  • Well-organized and meticulous in details

  • Ability to work under pressure
