Insurance Debt Advisory advises on debt advisory and capital structure to our clients
About the job:
The position, reporting to Head of Insurance Debt Advisory, will mainly perform two functions:
1. Support business origination by A) Stemming from actuarial advice, specifically in areas like ALM and Matching adjustment, link such advice to cross sell BBVA product suite, on a product agnostic basis. B) Complete our Insurance Debt Advisory offer, making it more rounded as compared to the advice currently provided.
2. Support Insurance Debt Advisory senior staff in analyzing clients, producing
presentations and marketing documents, and executing mandates.
Qualifications
Chartered Fellow of Institute of Actuaries, having been all of his career in an specialized consultancy business.
Experience in Solvency, ALM and Matching Adjustment, which fills in a knowledge gap that we have and that we believe can 1) be useful for clients advice, we recently lost an RfP because of lack of this knowledge, 2) more thorough advice to clients, being able to leverage our product suite.
In addition to highly specialized technical knowledge, he has strong commercial skills, which is an unusual.
He is motivated to join our team, and accepts naturally that his role will have a support function to the team, in addition to origination role leveraging on the fields on which he is an expert.
