Embark on a transformative journey as a Senior Solutions Architect - VP. At Barclays, our vision is clear to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In this role, you will architect and design real time banking rails that power Loans and Deposits products on the U.S. Banking Platform. You will have responsibility for the end-to-end solution architecture, shaping cloud native, event driven services that directly accelerate digital delivery, platform reliability, and customer experience at Barclays. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Security, and Operations to translate business outcomes into scalable, resilient, and compliant architectures, while enabling teams to deliver meaningful features early and safelyreducing digital friction for millions of customers.

To be successful as a Senior Solutions Architect - VP, you should have experience:

  • Defining endtoend banking solution architectures translating business and product needs into clear, domaindriven designs covering APIs, services, data, events, integrations, and nonfunctional requirements for realtime, regulated environments

  • Shaping technology and platform strategy by guiding Java/Spring microservices, APIfirst and eventdriven (Kafka) architectures, frontend/channel integration, and alignment to cloud or internal PaaS standards

  • Maintaining nonfunctional requirements, security, and resilience, ensuring high availability, scalability, fault tolerance, observability, and compliance with enterprise risk and regulatory expectations

  • Enabling engineering delivery through handson architectural leadership, partnering with teams on design strategies, reviews, and standards while validating feasibility without becoming the primary implementer

  • Ensuring operability, governance, and lifecycle ownership, embedding CI/CD, DevOps, SRE collaboration, production stability, architectural remediation, and alignment with enterprise architecture strategy while reducing technical debt

Other highly valued skills include:

  • Banking domain experience in Loans, Deposits, or Servicing platforms

  • Experience with realtime, async processing and highthroughput event driven systems

  • Cloud and platform design experience on AWS, Azure, or internal PaaS

  • Ability to operate effectively across architecture, delivery, and operationsowning outcomes endtoend

  • Comfort working within enterprise governance and compliance frameworks while still enabling delivery speed

Minimum Salary: $170,000

Maximum Salary: $230,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
