Job description
Bank of America is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for its Chester office. The role involves complex financial control responsibilities including P&L analysis, valuation controls, and regulatory reporting within the FICC Business Finance & Control team, supporting the EMEA Credit business market making activities.
Primary responsibilities involve performing detailed financial control tasks including calculation and analysis of valuation controls, quarterly disclosures, and working closely with Global Valuation Group to enhance methodologies and practices. The role requires comprehensive oversight of financial processes, engagement with Accounting Policy Group, and contributing to governance and operational error reporting.
Required experience includes being a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong financial services background, demonstrating excellent technical accounting knowledge and extensive Excel skills. Candidates must have proven experience in financial control roles, preferably within banking or financial services sectors, with a deep understanding of accounting concepts and regulatory reporting requirements.
