Due to an influx of opportunities, we are seeking lawyers with front-end construction, infrastructure, and major project experiences to join our UAE panel. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile, complex developments across diverse sectors, advising on every stage from project inception and financing to delivery and dispute resolution. Examples of recent opportunities include:

• Giga project: Our client was looking for a projects lawyer with both front-end and back-end construction experience to support them as they ramped up. They needed a lawyer with significant Middle Eastern experience working on large scale projects across civil infrastructure, power and energy projects.

• Supporting the practice: Since establishing Peerpoint UAE, many of our lawyers have supported A&O Shearmans Projects team, working on high-profile energy, infrastructure and PPP dealsfrom green hydrogen and renewables to major transport and social infrastructure projectsacross the Middle East, Africa and beyond.

• Oil and gas company: We have worked with a number of oil and gas organisations across the Middle East. Our lawyers have covered a variation of projects supporting and advising on the structuring, negotiation and documentation of LNG project agreements, including EPC contracts, joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements and LNG sale and purchase agreements (SPAs)

• Maritime logistics company: The client required a mid- to senior-level lawyer with strong project finance and project development experience, including work on transactions involving major international lenders or agencies, and ease with complex deal paperwork spanning key terms, financing, and risk management. The role also required partnering with internal functions, such as finance and sourcing, to shape legal input on financing materials

Our Criteria

Successful candidates will:

• a minimum of four years' post-qualification experience at a top tier firm for your specialism and jurisdiction
• recent in-house legal experience within an energy, construction, transport or infrastructure company is beneficial but not essential
• Middle Eastern experience and Arabic language skills are advantageous
• a current practising certificate (or equivalent)
