Our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice is globally recognized as a top-tier leader in both public and private M&A transactions. We deliver unparalleled legal services for complex corporate deals, offering strategic planning, due diligence, negotiation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other business combinations. Serving a diverse clientele, including multinational corporations, private equity firms and banks, our team ensures regulatory compliance, manages risk, and structures transactions for optimal outcomes. By combining extensive legal expertise with deep market insight, we help clients navigate high-stakes transactions, fostering growth and creating value, solidifying our reputation as one of the premier M&A practices worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting on leading complex multi-jurisdictional cross-border M&A and Private Equity transactions

  • Supports in various aspects of transaction preparation, including conducting legal research, drafting, and other related documents such as term sheets and purchase agreements

  • Coordinates various aspects of transaction processes, manages timelines, and ensures that all necessary steps are completed efficiently

  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders

  • Involvement in due diligence analysis of agreements and their subsequent description

  • Drafting and reviewing legal and technical documentation

  • Working with local counsels in various jurisdictions

  • Co-ordinates work of more junior members of the team

  • Helps coach and develop more junior lawyers

Skills required:

  • Admission in Australia, England & Wales or other Common Law jurisdiction qualification

  • PQE 5-7 years, currently at Senior Associate level

  • Good understanding of the key risks and issues involved in large transactions.

  • Strong time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when working across multiple deals

  • Team player and excellent communication skills
