Full Job Description
Roles at this level focus on handling legal tasks that require strong understanding of applicable laws related to Transactions specialisms. They represent clients (under the supervision of partners) with senior colleagues, providing essential support during negotiations. They conduct in-depth research and work with senior members of the team in resolving legal matters. Roles at this level may also provide substantial support with client management.
The roles and responsibilities of this job include:
Supports in various aspects of transaction preparation, including conducting legal research, drafting filings, and other related documents such as term sheets and purchase agreements
Assists in developing transactions strategies by analyzing legal issues and contributing to strategy discussions with senior lawyers
Supports in due diligence process by reviewing and analyzing financial statements, contracts and other relevant documents
Coordinates various aspects of transaction processes, manages timelines, and ensures that all necessary steps are completed efficiently
Manages case files, organizing case materials and ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met
Works towards development of transactions legal skills and expertise in the field
May co-ordinate work of more junior members of the team
Helps coach and develop more junior lawyers
Solid experience in a specialized area of law, typically with 3 - 5 years of practice post qualification
Experience handling complex legal tasks and contributing to the resolution of key legal matters
Excellent research, drafting and analytical skills
Solid communication and collaboration skills
