Full Job Description
The position is within the Prime Services Technology organization for a handson senior technology leader responsible for driving the buildout of the strategic Market Marker Clearing platform. The role oversees the endtoend technology team Market Maker Clearing, Financing workflows, and lifecycle automation for Options and ETFs.
Qualified candidates will have deep experience delivering largescale technology transformations in frontoffice risk, margin, or capital optimization domains, with proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders across Front Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, build, and rollout of nextgeneration Prime Services trade processing and clearing capabilities, focusing on high throughput Market Maker Clearing, Financing workflows, and lifecycle automation
- Partner with MDlevel stakeholders across Front Office, Operations, Product, Risk, Quant, and engineering teams to shape roadmap and delivery priorities.
- Collaborate closely with Product Development, BA, and crossfunctional teams to ensure functional and nonfunctional requirements are met.
- Own and execute the multiyear technology roadmap across globally distributed teams (New York, India, and other regions).
- Architect targetstate distributed systems for Prime trade processing and clearing
- Produce functional specifications, technical design documents, and oversee testing frameworks for risk and margin workflows.
- Manage full SDLC lifecycle including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high engineering standards across risk, margin, and exposure technology domains.
- Serve as the technical and functional SME for Options and ETF processing, Market Maker Financing and Clearing methodologies, and system integration.
- Tackle complex analytical and computational challenges involving large datasets, highperformance calculation engines, and timesensitive risk workloads.
- Ensure quality, maintainability, resiliency, and scalability across all platform components.
Required Experience:
7+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of management or leadership experience
- 7+ years Capital Markets experience within SellSide, BrokerDealer, or Exchange environments
- 6+ years of capital markets or securities industry experience
- 6+ years of direct experience in Prime Brokerage, Equity Finance, Delta1, Synthetic Financing, or Margin/Risk technology
- 6+ years of application development experience, Strong proficiency in Java and/or C++ in lowlatency trading or risk environments
- 6+ years designing or building highperformance distributed systems
- 6+ years managing application development teams (onshore + offshore) in Agile environments
- 5+ years of architectural design experience with distributed compute, caching, and messaging systems
Desired Experience:
- Experience building fronttoback platforms supporting sales & trading or prime financing organizations
- Experience running technology working groups, governance forums, and senior steering committees
- Knowledge of objectoriented analysis/design patterns, distributed systems, and largescale architecture
- Strong command of SDLC tooling: Git, Jenkins, Jira, Artifactory, uDeploy, etc.
- Proven track record delivering regulatory or operational risk projects under tight timelines
- Deep expertise across equity and listed derivative trade lifecycles including allocation, reconciliation, clearing, settlement, and financing workflows.
- Strong understanding of Market Maker workflows, sponsored clearing, giveups, and stepouts
- Comprehensive knowledge of electronic trading (DMA, algo execution, zerotouch)
- Familiarity with FIX connectivity and clearing broker/service bureau integrations
- Expertise in architectures supporting clearing broker APIs, trade enrichment, data normalization, and risk/financing engines.
- Experience building operational tooling (exception management, monitoring, automation)
- Familiarity with TCO analysis, vendor management, and risk controls
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex risk/margin workflows to senior stakeholders
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks for clearing, margin, and financing.
- Understanding of capital and liquidity calculations related to prime financing
AIDriven Innovation & Engineering Acceleration
- Embed AI across all Equities Technology pillars (EFF, Derivatives, Cash) to improve developer productivity, reduce operational load, and accelerate delivery.
- Drive AIassisted SDLC modernization: code generation, test creation, defect prediction, automated refactoring, and CI/CD quality gates.
- Use AI/ML to enhance trading and posttrade workflows, including anomaly detection in STP breaks, margin exceptions, futures clearing discrepancies, and corporateaction processing.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
