Vanguards Responsible AI Framework is intentionally federated across business, technology, and risk functions. The Senior Responsible AI Program Manager provides singlethreaded accountability for orchestrating execution across the endtoend Responsible AI governance lifecycleintake, assessment, controls, monitoring, and decommissioningensuring consistent sequencing, traceability, and auditready outcomes across teams and systems of record.

This role does not own risk decisions. Instead, it closes execution gaps created by crossteam handoffs and accelerates adoption by enabling disciplined, continuous oversight at scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate execution of the endtoend AI governance lifecycle across intake, assessment, approvals, controls, monitoring, material change, and decommissioning.

  • Coordinate across CDAO, GR&S, OGC, IT, and business teams to ensure consistent execution of Responsible AI requirements.

  • Establish and maintain stage gates, dependencies, and delivery milestones across multiple stakeholders.

  • Ensure governance artifacts and metadata are captured in enterprise systems of record to support traceability and audit readiness.

  • Drive consistent implementation of required Responsible AI, model, data, security, privacy, and thirdparty controls.

  • Identify execution gaps, handoff failures, and rework drivers; partner with teams to define durable fixes and enablement improvements.

  • Support continuous monitoring and material change routing, ensuring updates are assessed and evidenced appropriately.

  • Prepare clear, executiveready reporting for governance forums and senior leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of program management, governance execution, or crossfunctional delivery experience in regulated or risksensitive environments.

  • Proven ability to lead complex, multistakeholder programs without direct authority.

  • Experience working across technology, risk, legal/compliance, and business teams.

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Responsible AI, AI governance, model risk, or enterprise technology risk.

  • Familiarity with AI lifecycle concepts, monitoring, controls, and audit evidence requirements.

  • Experience designing or operating stagegate governance models and systems of record.
