POSITION PURPOSE

  • A Wholesaler visits branch offices in our clients, e.g., Nomura Securities and Mizuho FG, and conducts study sessions for Financial Advisors (FAs) and seminars for final investors in order to grow/retain the AUM for our funds.
  • The wholesaling job is critical in current Japanese ITM market as Japanese distributors has been focusing on existing funds rather than launching new fund every month.
  • This role requires presentation skills, an aggressive mindset, communication skills, interpersonal skills, knowledge of various financial markets, experience selling funds in his/her career, and a collaborative mindset.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Visits branch offices throughout Japan to conduct study sessions and seminars.
  • Do cold calls to branch offices to grow/retain the AUM for our funds.
  • Develop strong relationships with branch managers and FAs.
  • Collaborates with RMs by sharing information in the branch and helping RMs obtain new mandates.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience, hopefully at Japanese asset management companies OR,
  • 5+ years of total work experience as a FA in Japanese broker/dealers.
  • Ability to read and write English is required.

Preferred:

  • Fluent in speaking English
  • CMA
