Overview

Susquehanna is currently looking for a Senior Accountant – Digital Assets to join our Accounting team in our Bala Cynwyd, PA headquarters. This role combines traditional accounting principles with emerging technologies, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance in a rapidly evolving digital economy.

You will have end to end responsibility gathering all of the information necessary to prepare and manage financial statements and associated financial reporting.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be a self-starter who cares about details and deadlines and someone who can stay organized in an intense and fast-paced work environment. Our teams are highly collaborative, and you can expect to work closely with colleagues both in the U.S. and globally to meet our team goals.  

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare & reconcile monthly journal entries, general ledgers and financial statements ensuring compliance with IFRS or relevant reporting standards
  • Gain an understanding of the underlying business activity and conceptualize the flow of data from trade to financial statement
  • Interface with external auditors, regulators and other internal departments as needed
  • Prepare analytical procedures on underlying data and provide explanation for variances
  • After a period of development within the department, be responsible for conducting comprehensive entity reviews and ensuring their accuracy and regulatory compliance

What we're looking for
  • 8+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1–2 years in digital assets or blockchain-related finance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and digital asset tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS standards and tax implications for digital assets.
  • Proficient with MS Excel; experience with VBA, SQL, and Python preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with DeFi platforms, NFTs, or tokenized assets.
  • Visa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future
