About the team
The Stripe Workplace team creates and operates inspiring, comfortable, and innovative spaces that bring Stripes culture and values to life and provide a foundation for achieving our mission. We are seeking a highly capable, strategic and collaborative Real Estate Portfolio Strategist to join our team. As part of a nimble and dynamic pillar, you will be responsible for driving the development of strategic analyses, scenarios and recommendations in support of Stripes global real estate portfolio strategy, translating business and workforce priorities into long-range, actionable portfolio plans. You will partner closely with Workplace, Finance and People to evaluate tradeoffs, develop strategic options, and guide critical investment and footprint decisions. This role reports to the Head of Real Estate Portfolio Strategy, based in South San Francisco.
What youll do
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Strategy & Long-Range Planning: Support the development and management of Stripes real estate portfolio strategy in support of the the companys long range plan, including defining strategic principles, investment priorities, and decision frameworks
- Scenario Development and Decision Support: Develop and evaluate portfolio scenarios to assess cost, growth, flexibility, and risk tradeoffs; prepare clear option sets to inform leadership decision-making
- Executive Enablement: Support executive discussions by producing high-quality narratives, analyses, and presentation materials; present findings alongside or on behalf of the Head of Real Estate Portfolio Strategy
- Portfolio Reviews: Develop and maintain the analytical frameworks, narratives, and core content used for portfolio reviews - including, but not limited to, QBRs and State of the Market updates - to support consistent, executive-ready discussions, as needed
- Governance & Frameworks: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and refine portfolio governance models, metrics, and decision-making frameworks to enable consistent, scalable and transparent real estate decisions
- Analytical Rigor & Quality: Ensure analytical outputs are accurate, well-structured, and decision-oriented, raising the overall quality bar of portfolio insights across the team
Who you are

Minimum requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Corporate Real Estate, Workplace Strategy, Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy or Portfolio Management, preferably at a high-growth, global company
- Demonstrated experience leading complex analytical and strategic workstreams, including long-range planning, scenario modeling, and tradeoff analyses
- Advanced modeling skills; ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative inputs into clear structured recommendations
- Exceptional executive communication skills, including experience producing leadership-ready presentations to influence decision-making
- Strong judgement and comfort operating in ambiguity, with the ability to balance rigor, speed, and pragmatism
- Proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Familiarity with workplace and real estate concepts a plus, including portfolio optimization, occupancy and capacity planning, lease economics, capital planning, and total cost of occupancy
