Who we are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the worlds largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Finance & Strategy team is an integral thought partner to Stripes core functional leaders. We bring understanding and predictability to Stripes bottom line financials. We work cross functionally across many surfaces at Stripe and help steward Stripes resource investments to improve the durability of our long term financial performance.

What youll do

You will partner directly with Stripes Growth organization, playing a pivotal role in shaping self-serve strategy and driving self-serve revenue across our global customer base. As a trusted advisor to Growth, Product, and Marketing leadership, you will use data and financial insights to improve forecasting accuracy, inform investment decisions, and optimize our self-serve business. Your work will directly support Stripes next phase of growth by accelerating efficient customer acquisition, activation, and expansion across all segments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic finance support for the Growth organization, partnering closely with Growth, Product, Data Science, the CMO, and Product Finance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the self-serve funnel (acquisition, activation, conversion, retention, expansion) and provide actionable insights that inform both Product and Growth strategy.
  • Own forecasting and planning processes for Self-serve revenue across all segments, regions, and products; provide clear visibility into drivers of growth and performance against plan.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models that connect marketing demand generation, growth investments, product or pricing changes, and external drivers to revenue outcomes, enabling high-quality scenario planning and decision-making.
  • Assess ROI of growth initiatives and other customer acquisition investments, ensuring capital is deployed effectively to maximize long-term value.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for process automation, data standardization, and improved data infrastructure in partnership with Data Science to increase reporting accuracy and decision velocity.
  • Translate complex financial, product, and growth data into clear narratives for executive audiences.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A, Growth Finance, or Strategic Finance roles
  • B.A. or B.S degree in related field
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast revenue, and model funnel dynamics in complex B2B environments
  • Proven track record of partnering with senior GTM and Product leaders, and influencing business decisions through financial insight
  • Strong financial modeling skills and experience with large, multi-variable planning tools
  • Some SQL skills to independently access and manipulate complex datasets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, actionable insights
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience working at a high-growth technology or financial services company
  • Anaplan, Tableau or other equivalent application experience
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience in data visualization and dashboarding
