The Team: Sustainable1's Client Coverage team is at the forefront of expanding and deepening client relationships in the sustainability space. We operate with a strategic vision to drive revenue growth while helping clients enhance their sustainability initiatives. Our globally distributed team values collaboration across S1, CCO, MI, and Energy Commercial divisions, working together on comprehensive account planning and client engagement strategies that deliver measurable impact.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Drive revenue retention and growth through strategic account management of key sustainability clients in assigned portfolio
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans aligned with client strategic priorities and S&P Global's sustainability product suite
  • Identify and pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Energy, Market Intelligence, and other S&P Global divisions to maximize client value
  • Build and maintain relationships with new personas within client organizations to expand engagement and deepen partnerships
  • Serve as trusted advisor by presenting insights and recommendations to enhance clients' sustainability initiatives and optimize current product usage
  • Represent S1 at sustainability industry events including webinars, roundtables, and conferences while serving as commercial liaison to Market Insights and Marketing teams

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Environmental Science, or related field with at least 5 years+ of account management or client relationship experience
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and managing complex client relationships in B2B environments
  • Strong understanding of sustainability frameworks and ESG principles, with ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience conducting client meetings, demos, and strategic planning sessions
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms) and demonstrated ability to maintain detailed client records and pipeline management
  • Willingness to travel for client visits and represent the company at industry events

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services, particularly with sustainability data platforms, ESG analytics tools, or environmental risk assessment solutions
  • Demonstrated success in cross-selling and upselling within complex organizational structures, with experience identifying synergies across multiple product lines
  • Knowledge of energy markets and clean energy solutions
  • Professional certifications in sustainability or ESG (such as GRI, SASB, TCFD frameworks) or relevant industry credentials that enhance credibility as a trusted advisor

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,819 - $149,719. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individuals geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
