Job Summary

We are offering an exciting internship opportunity within our Transaction Banking team in Paris. This role is designed to provide hands-on professional experience in a dynamic international banking environment, enabling the intern to apply academic knowledge in a practical setting.
The internship forms part of an agreed educational plan with the candidates academic institution and is structured to support the achievement of a diploma or certification, while strengthening professional integration and career readiness.
Throughout the internship, the intern will be guided by a designated mentor and will actively contribute to delivering seamless account services, payment and collection solutions, liquidity management, and transactional FX serviceshelping clients optimise their cash flow and treasury operations.

The Intern, Transaction Banking will support the Sales and Product teams in identifying business opportunities, structuring tailored solutions, and preparing client presentations and internal documentation.

This role provides exposure to client engagement, sales pipeline management, product structuring, compliance processes, and cross-border collaborationoffering a comprehensive introduction to Transaction Banking within an international financial institution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Product Management, and Structuring teams to support Transaction Banking (TB) Sales Managers in identifying and developing business opportunities
  • Assist in structuring appropriate product solutions aligned with client needs
  • Support the preparation of client pitches, RfPs responses, presentations, and internal memos
  • Contribute to the management and tracking of the TB sales pipeline
  • Help coordinate internal approvals including credit and compliance processes
  • Work with local and global stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure timely follow-up
  • Develop an understanding of clients business models, geographic footprint, and decision-making structures
  • Apply academic knowledge in finance, business, and economics to real client situations
  • Gain exposure to core Transaction Banking products including: Cash management, payments and collections, liquidity management, transactional foreign exchange
  • Develop commercial awareness and client engagement skills
  • Strengthen analytical, communication, and organisational capabilities
  • Receive ongoing mentorship and structured feedback throughout the internship

Skills and Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of financial concepts and corporate banking fundamentals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Curious, proactive and eager to learn
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural and international environment
  • High level of professionalism and integrity

Languages

  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
  • An additional language is an advantage

Qualifications

Education     Bachelor or Master in Business Administration, Finance, International Business, Economics or any other Business related field
Languages     French, English and Pref. 1 Addl. Language
