Position Overview:

Squarepoint has a newly created role for an Indirect Tax Analyst to join their growing tax team and assist in various aspects of the Group’s UK and international tax compliance obligations. The successful candidate will be based in our Bangalore office and reporting to the Indirect Tax Manager based in the UK.

  • Collating and analyzing source data and invoices to prepare workings for VAT/GST/QST/ as well as any other supplementary statistical and compliance obligations including ECSL, Intrastat and the relevant filings.
  • Assist in reviewing indirect tax returns prepared by service providers for the companies within the Group, liaising with internal teams and collating information required by services providers.
  • Maintain a compliance calendar to ensure timely tax filing requirement and managing indirect tax payments across various jurisdictions.
  • Assist with responding to audit enquiries from tax and customs authorities, providing supporting documentation and information as required.
  • Contribute to internal tax automation and process improvement projects, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
  • Assist in managing tax compliance budget, accruals and engagements with service providers.
  • Preparation of process notes and maintain an effective tax documentation management system, ensuring that all relevant information is up to date and easily accessible.

  • Interaction with various other internal departments including Finance, Operations, Procurement and Legal to ensure co-ordination on tax related matters.
