Responsibilities

At Socit Gnrale, you will be joining the Global Markets division (MARK) of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. MARK offers a cross-asset approach along all its offerings: Research, Investment & Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Prime Services to asset managers, pension funds, companies, private banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, family offices, sovereign funds and distributors worldwide.
Trading Team is in charge of executing equity derivatives trades on behalf of clients, and risk managing the resulting exposure on the banks trading books. The VIE will cover equity derivatives products, with a specific focus on delta one desks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist DeltaOne Trading team in their day to day operational activities
  • Maintain and improve existing spreadsheets and tools used by the desk 
  • Develop on specific products a deep understanding and knowledge of parameters impact on pricing 
  • Develop new products and strategies under the lead of a senior trader 
  • Look at the risk systems and tools, and understand book deformations 
  • Establish good relationships with sales and structuring departments 
     

A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Socit Gnrale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.  

Please note that it is mandatory to provide us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

To facilitate the examination of your application by our English-speaking managers, we thank you for applying in English.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Financial Engineering/Financial Mathematics
  • A previous experience in a trading floor environment would be appreciated

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English

Technical, operational & soft skills:

  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office in particular Excel, good coding skils in VBA and Python

  • Proven analytical, computer and interpersonal skills as well as writing, communication and presentations skills

  • Strong team player who can demonstrate creativity and initiative

  • Strong interest in financial markets and understanding of complex products

  • Able to develop relationships based on trust and professionalism


The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Tokyo is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business Frances eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
