Responsibilities

CPM is responsible for the preparation of credit applications for annual reviews, new transactions, and  amendments/waivers of existing transactions, as well as credit monitoring of existing portfolio, and plays an active role in the bank's capital optimization and disciplined portfolio management, as well as increased origination capacity through partnerships and distribution.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare credit applications for annual reviews, new transactions, as well as amendments and waivers. This includes an analysis of company financial results, strategy, industry, and competitive position; preparation of financial forecasts; and identification of risks (including business, financial, reputational, ESG and credit risks) and mitigants.
  • Review legal documentation to ensure terms conform with those presented in credit applications.
  • Utilize internal tools to input and spread financial statements, calculate and propose credit ratings, submit credit applications and monitor exposure.
  • Liaise with other credit teams (in Canada, US, Europe, and Asia), internal business lines, relationship managers, legal and compliance departments, back-office operations, RISQ.
  • Ensure credit files are properly maintained (all approvals and sign offs are filed in the respective electronic files).

     

A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Socit Gnrale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.  

Please note that it is mandatory to provide us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

To facilitate the examination of your application by our English-speaking managers, we thank you for applying in English.

Studies & experience:

  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University in Finance or related subject
  • A previous experience in  in financial statements analysis would be appreciated
     

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English (B2-C1) - good communication, presentation and business writing skills

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point

  • Knowledge of financial modelling is a plus


The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Montreal is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business Frances eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
